Our Statement of Faith
We are an independent Christian Charity, guided by Scripture, Gospel values, and Catholic Social Teaching. At the same time, we embrace and support people of all faiths and none, because we believe that every human being is created in God’s image and likeness, deeply loved by Him and called into fullness of life.
This love of God is our driving force, as Scripture says:
“The Love of Christ urges us on”— 2 CORINTHIANS 5:14
Guided particularly by the Catholic Social Teaching principles of the dignity of the human person, the common good and option for the poor, as well as gospel values of love, compassion and service, we are committed to ensuring the dignity of every human person, working to overcome whatever threatens to violate that dignity, be it poverty or the lack of capacity to reach their full potential.
In obedience to the great commission of Our Lord Jesus Christ to “go into the whole world and proclaim the good news to all creation” (Mark 16:15 ), we are committed to advancing the good news of the Christian faith.
We work to empower all people with the knowledge of Sacred Scripture and reach out to all with the power of God’s love so that the words of Jesus, “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10) may become a living reality for all.
Together, we will build a better world where every person is empowered to fulfil their role in creation and in the human family, for the common good of all.
